MY WEEKEND ROUTINE
My name is Ike and I’m 11 years old. I’m from Cape Town in South Africa. This is my
weekend routine. Saturday is my favourite day. We haven’t got school on Saturday or
Sunday. On Saturday morning, my family wakes up late and we have breakfast at
ten. Then my brother Amari and I phone our friends. Before lunch, we help our mum
and dad to clean the house. We all have lunch together at half past one.
After lunch, Amari and I do homework for an hour. On Saturday afternoons, my best
friend Thando and I play football. Next, I’ve got a music lesson at a quarter past five.
I play the guitar and learn new songs. On Saturday evening, my family have dinner at
seven. We always have pizza. Sundays start early. I get up at eight and have a
shower. Then I go to the swimming pool with Amari. We have Sunday lunch at half
past twelve. On Sunday afternoon, my family watches a cricket match in town.
I just love weekends!
